Request
The headquarters in France sets requirements for how the Thales organization structures its processes and, consequently, develops its products. Every input a department must receive and every output it must deliver is defined. However, the specific processes themselves are not defined. Thales asked Eluxis to work with them to define these processes.

Solution
Eluxis managed and implemented this project. We facilitated knowledge-sharing sessions, developed process diagrams, and documented all acquired knowledge in Thales’ knowledge base. Among other things, we utilized the following knowledge tools:
- Lean A3 project plan. We drafted this during a kick-off session. It clearly identified areas for improvement, the resources to be deployed, and the objectives to be achieved.
- Process diagrams. All processes across the various departmental disciplines have been documented. For this, we utilize metadata, templates, best practice descriptions, and knowledge documents.
- Knowledge capture. Everything has been documented in the Thales RF knowledge bases (in Confluence).
Outcome
Preserving department-specific knowledge and associated process flowcharts:
- Provides support during the onboarding of new employees
- Serves as a guide for less experienced employees and temporary staff
- Increases the predictability of the steps to be taken
- Enhances the efficiency of collaboration, shared knowledge, and terminology
- Serves as an ideal starting point for improvement initiatives
